Faculty Course Center

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, click the View My Faculty Schedule link.

2.        The detailed Course Schedule is displayed.

3.        Click the linked Course Code to view details about the course.

4.        Click the Back button to leave the Course Details page.

5.        If you want to view your course schedule for other terms/divisions:

a.        Choose the desired Term from the drop-down list.

b.        Choose the desired Division from the drop-down list.

c.        Click the Search button.

d.        The Course Schedule is displayed (if available).

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, choose the appropriate faculty member from the Faculty pick list.

2.        Click the Search button.

3.        The schedule is displayed.

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, locate the course in the Course List for which you want details.

2.        In the Go Directly To drop-down list, choose Course Details.

3.        The Course Details screen displays information about the course.

4.        Click the Course Textbooks link (if available) to view and/or print a list of textbooks used in the course.

5.        To view all available courses, click the All courses in the Department, Undergraduate Division link. The resulting screen details information about all available courses and allows you to do another search if you wish.

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, click the View My Faculty Schedule link.

2.        The detailed Course Schedule is displayed.

3.        Click the linked Course Code to view details about the course.

4.        Click the All courses in the Department, Undergraduate Division link to view all courses in the department for that Term/Division.

5.        To view department courses in other terms/divisions:

a.        Choose the desired Term from the drop-down list.

b.        Choose the desired Division from the drop-down list.

c.        Click the Search button.

d.        The Course Schedule is displayed (if available).

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, enter the appropriate search criteria for Term and Division and click the Search button.

2.        Click the View My Faculty Schedule link.

3.        Click the Printer Friendly link or the printer icon ().

4.        A print preview copy is displayed.

5.        Click the Send to Printer button.

6.        After printing, click the Exit Print Mode link or the exit icon () to return to the Faculty Schedule screen.

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, locate the course in the Course List for which you want a Class List.

2.        In the Go Directly To drop-down list, choose Class List.

3.        The Class List screen displays the names of students who are registered for the course.

4.        You can:

a.        Choose another course for which to view the class list from the Course drop-down list.

b.        Click the Email Selected Students link to open the e-mail form to specify Recipients, enter the Subject and Body (message), and/or attach a File. Click the Send button to send the e-mail to the intended recipients.

c.        Print the Class List by clicking the Printer Friendly link.

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, locate the appropriate course in the Course List.

2.        In the Go Directly To drop-down list, choose Grade Entry.

3.        The Current Student Grade List screen displays the names of students who are registered for the course.

4.        If the Update Student Grades screen is displayed, you can assign grades to students in the selected course.

 

1.        From the Faculty Course Center portlet, locate the appropriate course in the Course List.

2.        In the Go Directly To drop-down list, choose Textbooks.

3.        The Textbook Entry screen displays textbook information and allows you to search existing textbooks to assign to the course, add new textbooks to assign to the course, edit textbooks already assigned to the course, or remove textbooks already assigned to the course.

a.        To search existing textbooks to assign to the course:

i.           Click the Search Existing Textbooks To Assign To Course link.

ii.         On the Textbook Search screen, enter either the Book Title, Author, ISBN number, and/or Publisher.

iii.        Click the Search button.

iv.       The results screen displays a list of textbooks from the Textbook Definition table that matches the search criteria.

v.        Click the Select check box beside the book title(s) you want to add to the course.

vi.       Click the Assign Selected Textbook(s) button.

b.        To add new textbooks to assign to the course:

i.           Click the Add New Textbook To Assign To Course link.

ii.         Enter the book information on the Add a Textbook screen.

iii.        Click the Save button or the Save and Add Another or the Cancel button.

c.        To edit an existing textbook assigned to the course:

i.           Click the Edit icon () beside the textbook you want to edit.

ii.         On the Edit a Textbook screen, you may edit all information.

iii.        Save.

d.        To remove a textbook associated to this course:

i.           Click the Delete icon () beside the textbook you want to remove.

ii.         The following message is displayed: "Are you sure you want to delete this item?"

iii.        Click OK or Cancel.
